SqlDbx is an extraordinary data IDE. Before SqlDbx we used very expensive data IDEs like DBArtisan. SqlDbx does *everything* that DBArtisan does and it does it at literally 1/10th the DBArtisan price. Actually, SqlDbx does quite a bit *more* than DBArtisan ... I especially like the SqlDbx ability to automatically generate new CRUD operation statement sets from existing Result grids. It does this transitively too -- which is a huge convenience to any data developer. SqlDbx is also extremely accommodating to the real-time data community ... providing explicit support for the KDB+ data product set. Outside of SqlDbx, I don't know of a single other generic data IDE product that provides explicit support for KDB+. It is no wonder that SqlDbx is the overwhelming data IDE of choice at just about all the major Wall Street investment banks (Goldman, Merrill/BofA, Lehman/BarCap, Credit Suisse, etc) SqlDbx is the only data IDE to use in these environments ... it being the only data IDE that is both 100% sound and 100% complete wrt to accommodating *every* data use case. It does everything and it does it well. It does it the best.
how difficult would it be to add the feature that allows the user to interactively set grid font size?
E.g. In MS-Excel 2007+ the grid has a (-)------(+) widget in lower right that allows you to interactively change grid font size. Also, In MS-IE you can use the CTRL+ and CTRL- key shortcuts to interactively change the content's font size.
Both of these features would be really nice in SqlDbx.,
An ideal SqlDbx feature might be to provide a *direct* interface to popular repositories (e.g. SVN/CVS/etc.) that host a large body of legacy DDL/DML. Common repository operations (checkout, update, status, commit) would just be an SqlDbx 'right-click+menu-select' event initiated from the file SqlDbx is editing. Maybe even the same operation on a directory that has many repository entities. Maybe even a version history view (directly from SqlDbx) of the files' committed changes -- and their visible differences.
I realize this might be asking too much. This request comes directly from *many* developers - all who use SqlDbx for their DDL/DML development, but who also simultaneously use Eclipse IDE ( to do all the SVN operations/views) on the same DDL/DML.
perfectly implemented. (as usual). thanks!
This would be a very usable feature. More than one of my users have already commented that this would be a "nice" capability. Please consider implementing exactly as suggested via Ctrl-CLICK selection set event.
