Hi,
i recently got upgraded from using SQL Advantage (POS software) to SqlDbx Pro v3.45
Everything SqlDbx does is miles and miles and miles better than the other crapware we had. I have a problem however that relegates me back to using the old crapware: sqlDbx won't display any info from datetime fields from a Sybase source.
SQL Server driver version: 2005.85.1132.00
SQL Native client driver version: 2005.90.3042.00
Sybase ASE ODBC Driver : 4.20.00.15
Has anyone experienced this and is there a workaround?

Are you connecting using ODBC connection type?
If you do than you should connect through Open Client and not ODBC.
Also can you try latest version and see if this issue exist.

Not sure if the connection is Open Client or not ... the connection is Sybase ASE Server, not ODBC.
As for installing a newer version, it isn't really possible for me. The PC support guys have our comps locked up tight and we need to get special access to log in as administrators on our comps. And the version which they have tested and approved for use (and pay licensing for) is the one listed in my original post.
I have managed to display a date however it is either 01/01/1900 or 12/31/1900.
Not too informative. I'll try to get it to work by tweaking the date settings, but I'm not too optimistic since it seems to depend entirely on the ASE server's date format and simply parses the strings returned instead of interpreting the actual datetime.
Aside from this little bug though, I enjoy SqlDbx greatly as it is leaps and bounds better than our previous tool. Many thanks.

I'll try to check if 3.45 had this problem. What version of Sybase and Open Client you use?
Also SqlDbx does not retrieve date from Sybase as string. It retrieves actual binary value and the formats it based on selected format.
