We are running Sybase ASE 15.5 and when the password is encrypted and we review the audit log, we can see where it tried to login without encryption first, then again with encryption. This is a problem, it's passing the password across the wire un-encrypted..is there a switch in sqldbx to encrypt? We tried encrypt = Yes that didn't work.
