Rowcounts and server messages

I love this product. Compared to Embarcadero's DBArtisan for many times the price, it's very small-footprint and does *almost* everything.
I especially like the auto-complete and table counts in the navigation pane.
The bad news is a select folllowed by an update (say) will give misleading or missing rowcounts. In Grid mode you get no stats back at all
This is a serious issue which unfortunately prevents me from buying the pro version. It reduces my confidence in this product

What database you use?
Are select update is one batch or multiple?
In Grid mode you can see number of affected rows in a bottom right corner
