Is it possible to execute SQL when connecting to a database?

Hi,

Is there a way of setting variables in a session when you connect to a server?
For example when connecting to an ASE is it possible to execute the following SQL?

set flushmessage on
go

And set these kind of settings per saved database?

Currently there's no way to do what you looking for, but this sounds like an interesting idea.
