Lets say, I have the following text
a.prod a.prod ,b.prod b.prod
,a.date a.date ,b.date b.date
,a.vndr a.vndr ,b.vndr b.vndr
,a.cust a.cust ,b.cust b.cust
I want to replace dots with underscores in the 2nd and 4th columns to create aliases for column names.
So I used Alt+mouse to select the 2nd column and then pressed Ctrl+H
The popup window appears:
Find what .
Replace with _
Replace in: Selection only
And clicked "Replace All"
BTW -- in this scenario "Find Next' and "Replace" buttons are disabled, so only "Replace All" is available. So you cannot go and replace one by one. Why??????
As a result ALL dots in all columns were replaced, i.e. replace in vertical selection does not work.

Looks like that was never implemented.
Will need to be addressed

So, it looks like vertical edit still not implemented in 4.4
Any plans to do it in next release?
