Why the option to import from Excel is disabled?

If Excel is not running then Excel menu will be disabled.

Hi, I'm having the same problem for a while, the excel disabled
Then I found out that, or rather realized that I was using open office

So, this might sounds ridicoulous, but is there a possibility for open office option?

Currently we do not have any plans to support Open Office.
You should be able to export to CSV file and then do import from file.
