User Defined Types

When I am in the server explorer window under types I see my user defined types.  It shows the base type but not the lengths.  How would I see the size of the CHAR or VARCHAR.  I tried right clicking and selecting properties but it shows an empty DDL Window.  It is Sybase ASE Server.
