Postgresql SSL Connection

I've had my first requirement to access a DB that requires SSL encryption on the connection.  Looking for a solution I found that in SQL Server this achieved by adding an option of Encrypt=yes to the connection screen.  That didnt' work for Postgresql is there something similar?

FYI I was able to login via setting up an SSL odbc connection and connecting via that.  But would be nice to not need to do that.
